Steve got his hands on the COSSATOT 1000 because it was time to upgrade to something more powerful than what he was carrying and this seemed to fit the bill.

The Cossatot 1000 lithium ion battery is rechargeable through a port that is covered with a rubber cap. This unit even comes with the charging cable.

This rugged handheld delivers 1000 maximum lumens, four brightness modes and three flashing modes. Its unique rescue beacon flashing mode can be set assist search and rescue to find its light’s owner. The Cossatot 1000 is a high-intensity tactical flashlight that is USB rechargeable and includes one 18650 battery. Designed for easy operation, this light’s side switch controls all lighting modes and the tail switch controls the power.

The unit has a steel pocket clip that can be used to stow it in a pocket or you can clip it onto a belt or other gear.

Conclusions
Steve really likes the flashlight for the limited time using it. It’s extremely powerful, yet has the functionality to modulate the light output depending on the task or situatiion at hand. The price seems to represent a tremendous value given the feature set and apparent quality of of the product. For this reason we would recommend others give serious consideration to the Cossatot 1000 XL if you’re in market for a pocket carry flashlight.
