Weekly Gear Update – Factor Cossatot 1000

A high quality flashlight is essential every day carry (EDC) gear, especially if you work with your hands or spend time outdoors. Factor is a company that has introduced a line of durable, quality flashlights. As of the writing of this article Factor has five tactical flashlights in its line up ranging in price from $29 to $85. Steve got his hands on the COSSATOT 1000 because it was time to upgrade to something more powerful than what he was carrying and this seemed to fit the bill.

The Cossatot 1000 lithium ion battery is rechargeable through a port that is covered with a rubber cap. This unit even comes with the charging cable.

Conclusions
Steve really likes the flashlight for the limited time using it. It’s extremely powerful, yet has the functionality to modulate the light output depending on the task or situatiion at hand. The price seems to represent a tremendous value given the feature set and apparent quality of of the product. For this reason we would recommend others give serious consideration to the Cossatot 1000 XL if you’re in market for a pocket carry flashlight.
